Oil boilers lock out for a lack of fuel, a failed photocell, or a blocked nozzle - common on rural Offaly/Letterkenny supply lines.
Top up the oil tank if low, reset the boiler once, and call an OFTEC-qualified engineer if it locks again.
Typical fix cost in Waterford: €80-€400. Do not attempt work on live systems - get a licensed specialist on it.
